Margareta Barchan
Business Advisor & Facilitator
Margareta Barchan is a business strategist who specializes in the human side of organizational change. She has more than 30 years of experience helping business leaders accomplish their own strategic goals by creating an atmosphere of acceptance for the new and innovative.
Ms. Barchan is an expert at creating effective internal dialogs, and draws on a variety of programs and tools to engage everyone who is responsible for implementing, and ultimately sustaining, change initiatives. Her solutions are tailored to each client situation.
A successful entrepreneur herself, Ms. Barchan is a co-founder of Celemi International, a Sweden-based learning design company represented in 45 countries around the world. She later co-founded New Angles a research-based consultancy focused on helping organizations become more sustainable in culture, approach and practice.
Under Ms. Barchan’s direction, Celemi was named to the Europe 500, a list of the fastest growing companies in Europe, and received the European MAKE Award for the Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise. Her outstanding business development skills earned her the "Business Woman of the Year" award for Sweden in 1997.
Ms. Barchan has helped launch several new businesses and associations, including Pioneers of Change, a global learning network for young professionals established in 1999; Normann Partners, a strategic business consulting firm founded in 2003; and The Change Leaders, a global network of strategic business professionals founded in 2004.
Ms. Barchan holds a Master of Science from the HEC Group School of Management in Paris; she is a graduate in “Consulting and Coaching for Change” from Oxford University; a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program; a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lund University, Sweden; and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Corporate Social Responsibility at the University of Geneva.
She is currently working toward a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Corporate Social Responsibility at the University of Geneva.
